Back in Time on the Other Side: Journey Into Rural China
Fellow Magazine
It’s no secret that China is transforming at record speed. The West fixates on the progress of its rising economy, urbanizing people, and increasing demand for luxury goods. While this swift shift to modernism dazzles the world, it’s easy to ignore the consequences. This photo essay, an immersion into rural China, explores parts of this special culture that are forever slipping away. This is my first piece with the lovely, Fellow Magazine.

“PATAGONIA, CHILE There is something modern and magic about sharing images while en route from places at the ends of the Earth. During trips to places like Patagonia, Capetown or the northern reaches of Iceland I’m always confronted with the idea that the world is shrinking. Just two generations ago the idea of traveling to far away places captured an experience so different than today. While connection can be a curse, it can also inspire, comfort and help us discover new places we never knew we needed to be. Travel on! ”
