New York City

New York City

New York is great. I have been many times, but never enough, and will certainly fail to do justice to this incredible city.

EXPERIENCE

While I’m not sure its helpful to list NYC’s attractions, I would mention a few places I have enjoyed. While here be sure to see at least one Broadway Show, get cheap tickets the day of and simply enjoy a best of the best performance. Times Square does not get less impressive with time, I try to visit almost every time I am in New York, despite the hoopla. Central Park is fun to walk, the MOMA, Empire State, Rockefeller Center, the High Line, shopping, people watching, eating. For me just walking the best parts of the city with good friends is always a fun day. To me the best pat of New York is that you really don’t need any plans to have fun, if you are in good company, the fun will find you. I would also recommend time in Brooklyn, walking the bridge is another must do.

STAY

I have stayed in lots of great spots in NYC, but probably favor the W (several locations) and some of the other boutique hotels with more character despite the close quarters. My favorite boutique spot has been the Shoreham http://www.shorehamhotel.com/, where I have stayed several times, this place has a great first floor bar as well.

EAT

Ahh food in New York is also hard to capture here. I eat pizza for lunch pretty religiously here and try to suck up the prices and just eat great for dinner. Some of my best NYC dining experiences have been Ma Peche,Buddakan and Nobu.
