Barcelona! A city pumping with vibrancy. Vibrancy of flavors, colors and culture. I have been here twice now and this second time enjoyed the food and architecture even more than the first.
EXPERIENCE
There is so much to do in Barcelona and it is easy to get around via bus or foot. The main attractions focus primarily on Gaudi’s architecture. See Sagrata Familiga and . Also make time to enjoy Parc Gruell, it is beautiful and has great views of the city and sea.
STAY
The first time I visited I had a good experience in a hostel here, the more recent visit I stayed in hotel right on Las Ramblas which was convenient for walking around in the evenings after work and accessing great places to eat and enjoy evening drinks.
EAT
Tapas! These are great and should be the majority of what you eat while here. The salted meats are wonderful and make for awesome sandwiches for mid day. Paella is another good dish, but while near the ocean I find it hard to resist the seafood tapas. All the food here is so fresh and made with great ingredients from local markets, enjoy! Sangria and the Spanish wines are great too.
